PLAVICHASKAYA
Marija Vukotić
18 to 29 Nov. 2025
GALLERY

Opening – 18 Nov. 2025 at 19

The quiet twilight hum follows us through seemingly unfamiliar, yet deeply resonant inner and outer spaces. The hues of the fading day signify the rift between day and night, wakefulness and dream, the objective and the subjective world. The moment of transition from light into darkness becomes a permanent blueness in which we lose and find ourselves again, or in the happiest of cases, merely exist, freed from the anxieties of what is to come and the burdens of what has been.

Marija Vukotić (b. 1997, Belgrade) graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, completing her undergraduate studies in 2020 and her master’s in 2021, in the Department of Painting. Since 2012, she has participated in numerous group exhibitions, as well as several solo shows, both in the region and abroad. Her work has been recognized with multiple awards, notably the “Rista and Beta Vukanović” Painting Award from the Faculty of Fine Arts. Since 2022, she has held the status of independent artist of ULUS (Association of Fine Artists of Serbia).
